Give pre-loved toys a new lease of life

Our Christmas Toy Scheme, in partnership with local charity Habitat for Humanity, has become a firm favourite in the festive calendar. Last year over 5,500 toys were dropped off at household recycling centres and community centres in Lisburn and Castlereagh diverting over 21 tonnes of waste from landfill.

Approximately 14,000 toys were also donated by local people at the Habitat Restore in Lisburn. Altogether the toys raised £17,500 in sales. Let's make this Christmas appeal bigger and better!

Toys can be left at the following dedicated drop-off points between Mon 4th Nov and Wed 18th Dec:

  • The Cutts Household Recycling Centre
  • Carryduff Household Recycling Centre
  • Habitat ReStore, Lisburn
  • Ballyoran Community Centre
  • Maghaberry Community Centre

The donated toys will then be sorted, displayed and sold at affordable prices to local families in the Christmas Toy Shop at Habitat ReStore Lisburn from Thurs 14th Nov to Wed 18th Dec - as well as a small number of local pop-up shops.
