Help shape a greener future for Lisburn and Castlereagh

The Council has declared a climate emergency and is developing a Sustainability Strategy and Climate Action Plan to protect the environment and build a more sustainable future.

The draft plan outlines key actions to reduce waste, cut pollution and reduce the effects of climate change in the short, medium, and long-term. 
To ensure the plan reflects local priorities, we’re asking for feedback from residents, businesses and community groups.

The consultation is open until Tuesday 29th April 2025 and we urge you to:

• review the plan and share your feedback;
• attend a drop-in event to learn more and have your say (details on our website and social media); and
• request documents in other formats if needed by emailing: sustainability@lisburncastlereagh.gov.uk
