Sports software company Pitchbooking has been awarded a contract to supply an online booking management system for Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s outdoor leisure sports facilities.

The council currently manages 43 playing fields across its council area including football, GAA, cricket and softball pitches. The new system will streamline the booking process, handle payments, save administration time and provide a customer friendly booking process for customers. It also provides analytics giving insights into facility usage, revenue trends, and booking behaviour.

Chair of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s Communities and Wellbeing Committee, Jonathan Craig, said: “We are delighted to start working with Pitchbooking which simplifies the booking and payment of sports facilities for residents and provides a better management tool for our staff.

“We’re confident it will help maximise the use of our facilities and enhance customer experience making it easier than ever to both book facilities and manage our programmes across the council area.”

“The company’s innovative booking solution has been invaluable in helping us expand the reach and impact of these programmes, allowing more young players and families to experience the joy of sport across Northern Ireland.”

Matt Mallon, LCCC Account Manager at Pitchbooking, said: "Having grown up in the Lisburn area and played on many of the pitches myself, I understand the vital role they play in community wellbeing. Our platform transforms how councils manage these essential assets, ensuring they're accessible to everyone while operating at peak efficiency. The enthusiasm from the team at Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council has been remarkable, demonstrating a commitment to modernising service delivery."
