Each year, we decide on areas within the council that we want to improve to make our services even more efficient, accessible and impactful for those we serve.
Over recent years, we have successfully implemented a range of improvement projects, and we remain committed to building on this progress.

Councillor Declan Lynch, Chair of the Governance and Audit Committee, is urging local people to get involved: “Our Performance Improvement Objectives set out the areas where we want to make meaningful improvements in the year ahead, but it’s important that they reflect the needs and experiences of the people who live and work here.
“We are keen to hear directly from residents, community groups and local organisations about what matters most to them. By taking part in the survey or joining one of our focus groups, people can help shape how council services develop in the future and ensure that our improvement plans make a real difference across Lisburn and Castlereagh.”
