We are inviting organisations to submit an Expression of Interest to act as a delivery partner to expand or develop inclusive summer scheme provision in the Council area.
The Council is committed to providing inclusive and accessible opportunities for children and young people. Our pilot Inclusive Summer Scheme Programme aims to provide safe, inclusive and enjoyable summer activities for children and young adults with additional and complex needs.
We are now looking for suitably experienced community, voluntary or charitable organisations to partner with us to deliver this summer provision. The aim is to create a welcoming, person-centred programme offering meaningful activities and social connection, while ensuring safety, dignity and wellbeing.
Councillor Tim Mitchell, Communities and Wellbeing Chair, said: “The pilot Inclusive Summer Scheme Programme aims to give local families more choice and better access to high quality summer experiences for children and young people with additional and complex needs.
“The Council recognises the value of collaboration between local government and the community and voluntary sectors. Alongside an experienced delivery partner, we’ll be able to provide a safe, inclusive programme that supports participation and enables partnership working with families, carers, and relevant service providers.”
