The sights and sounds of marching bands, pipes and drums will once again fill Lisburn City Centre as the Lisburn Marching Bands Tattoo returns to Market Square on Saturday 26 September 2026, from 6.00pm to 9.00pm.
This popular event officially launches the third annual Lisburn City Festival of Music, organised by Lisburn People Support Project (PSP) with the support of Lisburn Bands Forum.
Our Mayor, Councillor Brian Higginson, who will officially open the Tattoo said, “Our city centre will be ringing with the wonderful sounds of marching bands, drums and pipes. This is an event not to be missed and promises to be a fantastic evening for everyone.
“As Mayor, I am delighted to see this fantastic event return to Lisburn for a third year. I would like to personally thank events coordinator Jonathan from Lisburn PSP and his team for their hard work and commitment in bringing the Lisburn Tattoo back to the heart of our city.”
Building on the success of previous years, the Tattoo continues to grow, showcasing the rich musical and cultural traditions of marching bands and Ulster-Scots performers, alongside Highland dancing, Lambeg drumming and piping.

- Royal Hillsborough Piper, Mark Smyth
The wider Lisburn City Festival of Music will also feature the popular ‘Come Dine With Me’ experience and a vibrant Foods of the World showcase.
The Festival has been part funded by Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council.
