Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of three new Heads of Service.
Neil Thompson has been appointed as Head of Innovation, Judith McNamee as Head of Governance & Communications and Victoria Jackson as Head of Communities & Wellbeing.
Victoria brings experience from local government and the community and voluntary sector, where she has led organisations focused on delivering inclusive, resilient and community driven outcomes.
Her career has been marked by a strong commitment to partnership working, long term resilience and empowering communities to shape services and places that meet their needs.
Victoria said: “I am committed to empowering communities and ensuring we create lasting, positive change in the areas we serve. I look forward to working with colleagues and partners to deliver a community plan that is ambitious, inclusive and accessible to all.”
As Head of Innovation, Neil will lead the Council’s drive to embed a culture of creativity, digital transformation and continuous improvement by championing innovative solutions that enhance services, strengthen organisational resilience and deliver better outcomes for residents.
Neil holds a degree in Business Management from Manchester Metropolitan University and has worked in local government across a range of management roles since 2012.
Neil said: “I look forward to leading the Council’s drive to embed a culture of creativity, digital transformation and continuous improvement by championing innovative solutions that enhance services, strengthen organisational resilience and deliver better outcomes for our residents.”
In her new role as Head of Governance & Communications, Judith will oversee the Council’s Corporate Communications Unit, Information Governance and Central Support Services. Her experience in senior public sector roles makes her well placed to lead this important area on behalf of LCCC.
Judith holds a degree in European Business Studies from the University of Ulster, Coleraine, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Housing Studies. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Judith said: “I’m looking forward to supporting the wide variety of functions and services at Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council on behalf of our elected representatives and residents across the area.”
