Councillor Thomas Beckett, Communities & Wellbeing Chairman welcomes a new funding opportunity for local community and voluntary groups/organisations - our £140,000 Hardship Funding Programme.
Applications for grants up to £2,000 are available. Completed applications must be received by 12 noon on 3rd November 2023.
Councillor Beckett said: “As a council we want to continue to support our residents during the current cost of living crisis. We can do this through working in partnership with local groups at a grassroots level. Our local groups know their communities best and how to assist them through services and support. I encourage groups to apply so they can help address hardship through the purchase of resources or sustenance and other costs associated with tackling hardship locally.”
The grant can also help with programme and running costs to provide a service targeted at those most affected by the rising cost of living.
