The acclaimed ‘Thrive’ programme is returning for a third intake with support from the Lisburn & Castlereagh Labour Market Partnership. Thrive aims to provide inclusive employment support to residents facing health-related or other barriers to work.
To date tailored support has been provided to over 70 Thrive participants to identify strengths, build confidence, and develop career skills.
As a vital part of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s Labour Market Partnership programme, Thrive is funded by the Department for Communities. Labour Market Partnerships create targeted employment action plans for council areas, allowing for collaboration at local and regional level to support people towards and into work.
Councillor Claire Kemp, Chair of Regeneration & Growth, said: “The continued success of Thrive is a testament to what can be achieved when inclusivity is at the heart of our community efforts. It is more than just employment support - it enables people to fully participate in and contribute to our city’s economy and civic life, regardless of their circumstances."
"We are proud that Thrive actively champions diversity and inclusion, ensuring people living with disabilities or health conditions are valued and empowered. As we launch this third instalment, I am confident it will open new doors and create lasting positive impacts for participants, employers, and our community as a whole."
The upcoming programme will offer a supportive and accessible pathway into employment for residents of all ages who are currently unemployed or working less than 16 hours a week and who face barriers to employment due to health conditions or other challenges.
