Community Planning

Community planning involves bringing you together with people from different parts of public life e.g. health, education, community safety, the voluntary sector, arts and leisure.  We want to deliver projects which improve where you live and your access to jobs and training while protecting the world around us.

Our Community Plan outlines a vision of how we can all work together to improve the area for everyone who lives, works or visits Lisburn and Castlereagh. It has been agreed by the Lisburn & Castlereagh Strategic Community Partnership and we take a lead role on delivering the actions that are appropriate to our responsibilities.

Your wellbeing is the focus of the Community Plan which has five key themes: 

• children and young people
• the economy
• health and wellbeing
• where we live 
• our community
