Emergency Rest Centre

We are opening our headquarters at Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn as an emergency rest centre for those residents without power and heat as a result of Storm Éowyn.

Please take care if travelling to Lagan Valley Island at 1 The Island, Lisburn, BT27 4RL just off the Queen's Road, Lisburn.

Guidance is provided below to assist you.

 

How to access Lagan Valley Island

Please enter the building through the front door at the top of the steps.  If driving please park you car in the main car park.  This is opposite the building and will be the first car park on your left when you go over the bridge.

Items to bring with you

Please bring food, blankets and pillows as it could be cold this evening. Tea and coffee will be available

If you have a pet

There will be very limited space for pets and they may be kept separately from other members of public.  If they can be accommodated elsewhere then please arrange that.  Bring small pets in carriers if you can.

Your electronic devices

We will do our best to accommodate charging requirements for your devices.

Showering facilities

There are no shower/washing facilities available at Lagan Valley Island.
