The capital fund forms part of the Connect – Invest – Transform Investment Plan. It aims to support community, sporting and interest groups to progress a capital project that meets community needs whilst aligning with the principles in the our plans.
Community and voluntary organisations in the Lisburn and Castlereagh area can apply for a grant of up to £350,000 from this capital funding stream.
An application can be submitted for an amount between £150,000 and £350,000 although match funding of no less than 50% must also be secured for the capital project in question.

22/23 recipients of Community Investment Fund
Lisburn Rugby Football Club was awarded £225,000 funding to provide female changing and shower facilities as well as the addition of a Health & Wellbeing Centre with an indoor studio space and a fitness suite.
Crewe United was awarded £195,000 to develop adult changing, shower and toilet facilities to provide an improved experience for visitors of all abilities. A new baby changing area, a first aid room and additional car parking will also make a huge difference for everyone at Crewe United including those with disabilities.
20/21 recipients of Community Investment Fund
Ballymacash Sports Academy was awarded £250,000 to replace its existing portable cabins with a community facility, which will house a number of sporting and community activities. The upgraded facility will include four new changing rooms, a community hub with multi-use community and training room, a cyro-spa facility, a gym and a social enterprise café.
