Our community is important to us and we are working alongside statutory and voluntary bodies to deliver the Lisburn & Castlereagh Community Plan. One part of this plan includes improving the services and support for those residents over 50 years of age.
A range of support and development functions to assist local community/voluntary groups is provided by our communities team. This includes:
- support and training to develop our communities
- promote inclusion and good relations
- increase community participation
- grant assistance throughout the year
- provides facilities in the heart of our community
We want to empower our communities and work with them to provide an integrated and proactive approach.
