Bells Lane Allotments

These allotments in Derriaghy were refurbished in 2019. 

Onsite there are:

  • 70 plots
  • an allotment hub
  • covered seating area
  • parking
  • toilets with disabled and baby changing facilities
  • kitchen facilities
  • garden shed, polytunnel and raised beds to accommodate a calendar of demonstrations and activities for local schools and community groups
  • a defibrillator

The refurbishment was part-funded by us, the Public Health Agency (PHA) and under Priority 6 (LEADER) of the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) and the European Union.

We hold a waiting list for residents who would like an allotment.  Should you wish to be added please email: nicola.prentice@lisburncastlereagh.gov.uk  Please note the waiting list is currently extensive.

Education and events    

Within this area we would hold activities for all ages including pumpkin carving and wreath making workshops.
